Kaua`i's three National Wildlife Refuges share a mystical beauty. Discover hundreds of seabirds nesting atop sheer cliffs; enjoy ever-changing views of a valley where taro farming coexists with endangered waterbirds; and explore; and explore Kaua`i's colorful past by visiting the famous Kilauea Point Lighthouse. Kilauea Point, Hanalei, and Huleia are part of a system of over 500 National Wildlife Refuges in the United States, managed by the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service. Hawaii's refuges were established to protect the Islands unique native plants and animals and their habitats.
